13+ Preparation, Mondays 5:30pm-6:30pm

This 8 weeks group lessons start on Monday, 01st September 2025 and end on Monday, March, 31st March.

What is the 13+ exam for? The exam aims to determine a child's suitability to join a grammar school/independent school in Years 8 or 9. Not all schools accept 12+/13+ entry, but those that do, normally do so on the basis of available spaces in those year groups.

What is tested?11+ candidates sit examinations in English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. Different schools have different arrangements for the 12+ and 13+, but typically, children are asked to complete a combination of maths, English, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning tests. These may be written or computer-based tasks.

NB: There is no lesson on 27th October due to half term.
